What can it do?

  • Generate passwords your way: choose 4–128 characters, with uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols, or exclude characters that are easy to confuse.
  • Copy with one click: choose Copy Password after generating a password, then paste it where needed.
  • Save four fields together: keep a name, login account, login password and notes in the same record.
  • Keep separate vaults: create, open or switch vault files, each with its own protection password—for example, one for personal information and another for work.
  • Lock it when needed: Lock closes the current vault; use its protection password to reopen it.

Getting started

  1. Download and fully extract the ZIP, then open PasswordGenerator.exe.
  2. Choose the length and character types, then select Generate Password. If you only need one password, simply copy it and use it.
  3. To save records, select New Vault, choose a storage location, and set a protection password of at least eight characters.
  4. Fill in the name, login account, login password and notes, then choose Save As. A name and login password are required.
  5. Next time, use Open Vault to choose the file and enter that file’s protection password. You can also switch to another vault.

Privacy and safekeeping

  • Your data stays on your computer: the program works offline and does not upload passwords or vaults. It saves each vault in the location you choose.
  • Keep your protection password safe: this opens the vault and is separate from the login passwords saved inside. There is no reset or recovery mechanism. If you forget the protection password, you cannot read the vault’s contents.
  • Back up your vault yourself: the program does not provide cloud backups or version history. A backup still requires the original protection password.
  • Be careful with the clipboard: Windows clipboard history or synchronization may retain a copied password. This tool does not automatically clear the clipboard.
